We have a new nightly program in the park! “Talking Shakespeare” is a pre-show conversation opportunity organized by Belmont University’s Marcia McDonald with the aim to help you find out about this year’s play, to ask questions and exchange ideas about Shakespeare, and gain new ideas from faculty who love teaching and talking about Shakespeare. Whether this is your first time at Shakespeare in the Park or your 25th, if you are intrigued by all things Shakespearean or think understanding Shakespeare is a challenge, this pre-show talk is for you!

Come to the TOUT (“The Onward and Upward Tent”) in back of the seating area from 6-6:30pm before each performance to ask questions, join in discussion and learn something new about Shakespeare!

Discussion leaders: Shakespeare scholars and teachers from various universities

Leah Marcus, Vanderbilt University
Mickey Wadia, Austin Peay State University
Jayme Yeo, Belmont University
Wayne Garrett, Lipscomb University
Jane Wanninger, Vanderbilt University
Deann Armstrong, Vanderbilt University
Marcia McDonald, Belmont University

We’ll see you in the park!

Shakespeare in the Park will run Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights through September 14th. For more details, visit our website.
