A Midsummer Pictorial: Putting On A Show

“And here’s a marvelous convenient place for our rehearsal. This green plot shall be our stage, this hawthorn-brake our tiring-house, and we will do it in action as we will do it before the duke.” — Peter Quince, A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Thursday marks the opening the night of Shakespeare in the Park but we’ve been honing our characters, learning our lines and building our set for over a month. It’s a process that, even in today’s cyber world, the audience doesn’t often get to be a part of so we wanted to share a few photos from rehearsal. It’s not the same as seeing us run around on the stage (which we hope you have plans to do) but we hope this mini-Midsummer slideshow gives you a peek inside our Midsummer and Shakespeare-filled hearts a little and lets the fairy world creep into yours. We can’t possibly show you all the photos our cast and crew send us so be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for more behind the scenes fun. See you in the park!
