Volunteer With Us and Help Shake the Park!

This week’s the week! We’re gearing up for another year of Shakespeare in the Park but MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING starts on Thursday — August 16th — and we still need a few enthusiastic volunteers who want to have fun! If you wold like to be a part of this Nashville tradition and see one FANTASTIC musical production while you’re at it, this is the job for you!

As the first face that visitors see as they enter the park, volunteers are an essential part of our Shakespeare team. Every night at Shakespeare in the Park, a team of 10 or more volunteers works the “Front of House.” They help with the setup of the concession area, greeting patrons and collecting donations, distributing programs and answering questions, working in the concession tent, and taking down and putting everything away at the end.

Dates we need your smiling faces:
Sunday, August 19th
Thursday, August 23rd
Friday, August 24th

Volunteers will need to arrive at 5:30pm and should expect to stay until at least 9:30pm (some volunteers will be needed to stay later if available). Volunteers should also plan to attend the Volunteer Training & Picnic on Wednesday, August 15 at 6:00pm. You’re invited to stick around and watch final dress rehearsal for MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING as well!

So check your calendars, we’d love to have you join us! To sign up to volunteer or if you have questions, contact our Volunteer Coordinator Noel Farmer at volunteers@nashvilleshakes.org.

See you at the park!
